BORN Jan 16th ,1954 Lizard Lick, NC 1 Daughter: Shannon Wood I started playing guitar in 7th grade with Glen Baker, Ron Fowler, and Ronnie Perry. We named the band Cherry Finish. We were from the Hopkins Crossroads area. I ended up changing to drums and playing with a band called Rabbit's Habit Dance Band. I also played with Hamilton Fish, Inner Circle, Southern Storm and many other bands through the years. I met and got to play with such artist as Joe Cocker and partied with Charlie Daniels and Tom Petty at Carrowinds in the early 70's. Triple Threat Band band was originally formed in the 1980. Through the years it has seen different members come and go. Finally in late 2007 we found the right combination of players with the addition of Tim Bullock on Bass, Al McSwain on guitar and vocals, Jim Harrington on guitar and vocals and with the addition of Keith Smith on lead vocals Triple Threat was complete and ready to take 2008 by storm! I would like to thank some of my biggest fans, Don Wood of Rock Ledge Florida (my brother who has always believed in my music) My Daddy and Best Friend the Mayor of Lizard Lick, NC who has always inspired me to be the best I can at all I do. My daughter Shannon who inspires me with her singing abilities. Cathy Maynard who is very special to me, my mother Kay Perry who loved my music while she was with us, and to all my friends at WakeMed and the other special people in my life. My infleuences are Rare  Earth, Bad Company, Sam & Dave anything from Mowtown , Skynyrd, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Sly and the Family Stone, Ten Years After and others.
